What to Say When People Ask... "How Much are You Making?"
By Hilton Johnson, The MLMCoach

The short (and clever) answer is."I don't know. The money
hasn't stopped coming in yet."
But . that answer is not likely to satisfy your prospect. So,
let's examine this question a little deeper.
Most people in the cold market would not ask this kind of
question. It's too personal. This is the kind of question you'd
get from your warm market.
Here's a way you can respond to this question in a way that
could lead to a presentation:
(Remember, you're talking to someone you know.)
Prospect: "How much are YOU making?"
You: "The fact that you asked me that kind of question tells
me I'm not doing a very good job of explaining this to you.
You see, my business is about much more than just making
money. It's about helping people, too.
Sure, money is important and I'm satisfied with my progress
so far.
But the real question is: how much money will it take to
satisfy YOU?
The other question is . do you like helping people? One doesn't
go well without the other in this business.
So, let me ask you this. If my business is one that truly
helps people and you could earn enough money to make YOU
happy, would you have any interest in knowing more about it?"
Prospect: "Yes"
You: "May I suggest we set a time to get together so I can show
the complete program to you. When I'm finished, you can accept
it or reject it as you see fit. Does that sound fair enough?"
Prospect: "Yes"
Bingo! Another presentation in your local warm market!
Note: If your prospect says "No" to your offer to explain the
WHOLE program, guess what?
You haven't lost a darn thing.
Until Next Time,
